Earn 100 points and you can win a prize!

Points are a way of measuring how active each member is in the IndieBound.org community. Every time you do certain things, such as leaving a friend a note or becoming a fan of a store, you earn points.

Periodically, each community member with 100 points or more will be entered in a random drawing to receive a gift basket with cool stuff from indie businesses in his/her area! Contents and value may vary from location to location. 

Points are awarded as follows:

Contributing to discussion of a store 1 point
Leaving a note for another user 1 point
Becoming a fan of a store 2 points
Adding a store 5 points
Creating a Wish List 20 points
Inviting another user (when user joins) 10 points for inviter
5 points for invitee
Article selected for publication on IndieBound.org 100 points for the first publication
20 points each additional publication

One winner will receive a prize package consisting of gift certificates from independent businesses in the winner’s community, valued at approximately $250. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. The winner will be chosen by random drawing from among all community members who have earned 100 points or more as of that date.
