READING THE NEWS
You Can Lead A Child To Milk...
by Andrew Duncan

As a registered nurse who sometimes works in public schools, Mary Ann Clark was alarmed when she noticed today's children regularly choose soda over milk. So, the ever-enterprising Mary Ann and her husband George -- who moonlights as a biochemist -- set out to fix the unhealthy problem: they invented a carbonated milk drink!

It took the husband-and-wife team seven years to perfect the combination of powdered milk and water that they've dubbed Refreshing Power Milk (RPM). Boasting more protein and fewer calories than a 12-ounce can of Coke, each 12-ounce serving of RPM has the nutritional value of skim milk, and contains 40 percent of the recommended daily amount of calcium.

The fizzy drink with the mild milk taste comes in three different flavors: vanilla cappuccino, chocolate raspberry, and Brazilian chocolate. According to the Clarks, orders from school districts are already pouring in.
